Water Washing Our Souls

Cleansed... by the washing of water with the Word...
~ Ephesians 5:25

A theme that was repeated as we explored the topic of healing through doodling on a canvas was water, the deep, waves . . .
He makes me lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside quite waters.
He restores my soul...
~ Psalm 23:2&3a

On Canvas

To be seen
Just as we are.

Entering community

Discovering we are all raw and naked before our God,

who is oh so gracious with our wounded hearts . . .

Oh the beauty...

Healing Explored

You have taken account of my wanderings;
Put my tears in Your bottle; are they not in Your book?
~ Psalm 56:8

Community
Perspective
Process
Nerves re-awakening
Sense of touch restored
The battle
the JOURNEY...
(Lindsay lead us in a few worship songs.)
Let us not give up meeting together...
but let us encourage one another
~ Hebrews 10:25

To Be Healed

What is healing?

How would you describe, express, portray through your art what healing is?

What does it mean to be healed?

Where do we go for answers when we're broken?

How does healing come?

Does the Holy Spirit play a specific role and if so what?

What is our role?

What does it mean to be "whole"?

Can we control how long it takes to be healed?
Is there a parallel to how our physical bodies heal that can be a principle applied to the healing of the soul and spirit?

Do we believe we can be completely healed and restored, or do we think that we just need to learn how to cope as long as we live on this earth??

We'll explore these questions Wednesday night as we color a canvas through markers, crayons, and pencils with doodles, thoughts, drawings, or our stories . . .
